Belief updating and sensory attenuation in schizophrenia
Whether delusions track a failure of belief revision, a failure to attenuate self-generated sensation, or both. Beads task modelled with the Hierarchical Gaussian Filter, alongside a force-matching task run on a device built for the study. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Sarısoy; registration pending.
Akathisia as active inference
Akathisia treated as an attempt to make the world fit the model, rather than the model fit the world. Aripiprazole is the instrument here: if dopamine encodes the precision of prediction errors, a D2 partial agonist should act less like a dial and more like a clamp on that precision, rather than simply lowering it.
